- Halong Bay
Considered as UNESCO World Heritage Site, Halong Bay is popular travel destination. With thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes, the seascape of Halong Bay is world’s most mesmerizing sea views. It is prime cruising territory which can be best seen by boat. There are many caves in the bay that can be entered including Hang Dao Go and Hang Sung Sot. The bay has covered the area of 1,553 km square, including 1,960-2000 islets. It is home to 60 endemic faunal species and 14 endemic floral species.
One of the most historic towns of Vietnam, Hue has relics from reign of Nguyen emperors of 19th century. One of the major attractions is its vast 19th century Citadel which is surrounded by thick stone walls and moat. It has Imperial City, Forbidden Purple City and replica of Royal Theater. Sitting on the bank of Perfume River, it is well-known for its historic monuments which have earned a place in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Additionally, there are many sites outside of Imperial Enclosure walls and one of the best ways to visit these sites is to take riverboat cruise.
- Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
One of the best caving destinations in the world, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is world heritage listed place. It is situated in the limestone zone of 2,000 km square in Vietnamese territory and best travel destination. This park was created to protect world’s two largest karst regions with grottoes and 300 caves. In 2009, Sơn Đoòng Cave was discovered which is considered as largest cave in the world. The popular destination in this park is Paradise Cave, which extends to 31 kilometers. Other popular destination here is Phong Nha Caves which can be accessed by boat.
- My Son
Surrounded by mountains covered with lush green jungle, My Son is cluster of abandoned and ruined Cham era temple city that dates back from 4th century. It is old Hindu religious center with more than 20 temples still standing here. The temples here are dedicated to worship god Shiva. It is longest inhabited archaeological site in Indochina. This complex is one of foremost Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia and is major heritage site. Most of the temples were made of red brick and only one temple was made of stone. The decorative carvings of these temples are cut directly onto the bricks.
- Hoi An
Formerly known as Fai-Fo, Hoi An is most delightful town in Vietnam. Recognized as well-preserved example of South-East Asian trading port, it is noted as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Its major attraction is Japanese Bridge at Western end of Tran Phu Street. The bridge is unique covered structure built by Japanese. There are four museums in the town which highlights history of the region. The town is a tourist attraction because of its traditional architecture, history and crafts such as ceramics and textiles.
- Sapa Countryside
Bordered by jagged peaks of Hoang Lien Mountains, Sapa is a frontier township and home to most beautiful rural vistas. Its deep valleys are home to mix of country’s ethnic minorities including Red Dzao and Hmong Giay people. - Ba Be National Park
