World Bodypainting Festival

3 Days|4 Stages|50 Bands & DJs|World Championship 2016

Got confused what is this about? Well, don’t be! We are talking about the World Bodypainting Festival; one of the most colourful festivals, which takes place over the course of a week each year in the picturesque south of Austria. Artists and models from over 40 different countries give their best to entertain visitors at the festival event. They compete in various categories including Airbrush, Creative Make-up, Face Painting, UV Award etc.

The event is open for both adults and children and has proven to be the most popular among families. While adults enjoy art and music, there are also many activities for little ones. A face-painting tent for the kids including a glitter contest and many other activities makes it something special for the young kids as well.

On the main days of the festival the city turns into an open-air art exhibition. From morning to night there is something to see in every corner of Portschach. Beside this, the World UV Bodypainting Championship offers a little piece of magic; using fluorescent colours and black light, the models literally glow during their presentation creating a visually marvellous effect. What else!

Music also plays an important role in the festival and various venues showcase local and international bands, DJs and street musicians. The party highlight during the World Bodypainting festival week is the Body Circus Fantasy Ball. DJs, visual effects and amazing artists entertain guests until the early morning hours.
