With an intermediate stop at Espinho, the Amsterdam-Lisbon route was opened in April 1940. Initially, these flights carried freight and mail, connected at Lisbon with Pan American Airways Clipper services to New York and had a subsidy from the Dutch Post Office.

1) Carry-on Baggage:
With British airways flight reservations, you are allowed one piece of hand baggage plus a laptop or handbag. Hand luggage must not exceed the dimensions: 22" x 18" x 10" (56cm x 45cm x 25cm), and your laptop or handbag must not exceed the dimensions: 18" x 14" x 8" (45cm x 36cm x 20cm).
2) Checked Baggage:
For travel on all flights except to/from Brazil, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and connecting journeys between India and USA/Bermuda/Canada:

British Airways Inflight Services
Inflight Entertainment:
British Airways inflight entertainment on long-haul flights consists of a special kids’ channel from Disney and Cartoon Network showing cartoons and popular shows. Onboard Meals:
Tinned baby food is available on long-haul flights, but it is recommended that you bring your own un-opened baby food, sterilised bottles and any other equipment, in your hand baggage. Furthermore, British Airways has also created a range of children’s meals that is nutritionally balanced.
British Airways Unaccompanied Minor Service
Unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for children between 5-11 years traveling without an adult; whereas, children under 5 years of age are not allowed to travel unless accompanied by an adult who is at least 16 years old.
Fees Associated:
British Airways charges the adult fare for children traveling alone. In addition to the flight price, you will have to pay: $50 for short haul flights and flights within the UK and $75 for long haul flights.
Flight Restrictions:
Children from age five upwards can travel alone only on a single sector, direct, non-stop flight.
Children from the age of six can travel alone on any British Airways flight.
The Skyflyer Solo service must be booked and paid for together with your child’s flight and must be done 48 hours in advance.
